Patriotic Tablescape
Hello ya’ll! Fourth of July weekend is upon us and I wanted to share my take on a patriotic tablescape. I love outdoor dining, so our chose our deck to outfit in red white and blue this year for the occasion. Worth noting: this table is clearly set for the adults and older children…my middle child and youngest would definitely need their plates switched out for melamine!
I chose simple, white hydrangeas, which I love for their oversize bloom and diversity for designing a table, regardless of the color palette. Dollar Hydrangea, which I mentioned in a previous post , is a great source if you need to order them in bulk for a larger event. In this case, I acquired mine via my regular grocery trip to Wegmans : ). I also added faux greenery from an indoor arrangement I found at JoAnn Fabrics, as well as various Chinoiserie vases and ginger jars acquired from HomeGoods and Wisteria, whom I unfortunately just discovered is going out of business! Boo! They haven’t got much inventory left, but I did spy a few lovely mirrors for a wonderful price point. You can find similar ginger jars and vases here.
The rattan chargers are beauties are by Williams Sonoma (currently 30% off!) and are from our wedding, while the toile napkins are a Pottery Barn favorite I’ve also had for years. I’m loving our new umbrella this season from Safavieh, which tilts for function, while possessing adorable scalloped edges…win win! Our outdoor rug, also in Navy and White, is from Target’s Threshold line (no longer sold), but I found a similar look on Amazon here.
For our deck sitting area, I added a red and white buffalo check pillows to our existing Pottery Barn stripe ones for an Americana look. Weathered lanterns and hydrangeas complete the relaxed vibe.
