Virtual Back to School
When my little girls return back to school this fall, things will undoubtedly be different than ever before…for starters, we will attending virtually for the foreseeable future. Now, personally, I just love Back to School…a hint of Fall in the air, fresh patent leather shoes and sneakers, the smell of freshly sharpened pencils…insert one of my favorite movie quotes here:
“Don’t you just love New York in the fall? It makes me want to buy school supplies. I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address.”

Alas, even though we will not experience our traditional return to school, I still plan to make it special for them…posing out front for “First Day of School” pictures, our pancake breakfast, etc. After all, celebrating the little moments is what childhood’s all about! Keeping this in mind, I’m including a board of some essential and fun items to make this year’s Back to School shopping an enjoyable one!
In the top left, I featured a cute tee for Mom…who might just be teaching this fall…for the first time. ever. I’m also loving all the school designs from Taylor Beach Designs for Back to School…I mean, stationery heaven and such great teacher gift ideas! The L’amour shoes are an annual staple in our home and I get the girls a new pair each time they outgrow the last. Mama gets a cute, dressy shoe that matches most things, while the girls get a flexible sole, comfy straps. and a non/slip sole with extra toe protection. Win win! The new knit masks from Smocked Auctions are also items we own and love…my older two girls have no problem wearing them, as they are lightweight and breathable. Bonus: they can be monogrammed!
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ll just go find my dusty old DVD copy of You’ve Got Mail…right after I pick up a Tall Decaf Cappuccino.
